CES 2014: World’s first 4K 2160p Ultra HD Laptop unveiled by Toshiba


The CES 2013 was a big revolution for companies showcasing their 4K Ultra HD televisions which had huge gigantic screens. Now the things are churning down into smaller drapes, compacting themselves. This year at CES 2014 we have those heavy resolutions of 2160p, also called the 4K resolution or Ultra HD in portable laptops. This achievement has been showcased by the Japanese company Toshiba in two production ready laptops which make them proud inventors of world’s first Ultra HD 4K laptop, certainly taking things to a whole new level.

Toshiba has launched two laptop models, which will be called the Satellite P55T, and the Tecra W50. Both the laptops will consist of a 15.6 inch 3840×2160 pixel screen resolution at a pixel density of 282 ppi. The Satellite P55T is mainly designed keeping in minds the needs of photographers, graphic designers and 4K Ultra HD movie buffs. Therefore it has a premium look of a brushed metal, light weight, thin bezel for screen. It will be having Harman/Kardon speakers, a backlit keyboard, etc as the prime features.

The Tecra W50 has been designed keeping in mind the professional requirements of engineers, 3D designers etc. the Tecra W50 features the 4th generation intel core processing technologies, and sports a Kepler based nVidia Quadro K2100M GPU and 2GB of dedicated video memory, and also a strong and sturdy build with a spill proof keyboard. Both the systems boast of great viewing experiences and wide viewing angles. Both the systems run Microsoft Windows 8.1. Both the Satellite P55T and the Tecra W50 will go on sale in mid 2014 in the markets.
