It has been quite long since the very popular image sharing and editing app Instagram first launched its apps for Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android Mobile Operating System. Since then a lot had been cooking in the worldwide communities, which was a result of emergence of the new mobile operating system platform, showing a slow but steady growth round the world: The Windows Phone platform.

Instagram for Windows Phone has arrived the market and is available in the Windows Phone Store. The Instagram for Windows phone contains all the photo cropping as well as editing tools, filters and effects as are present in the Instagram for iOS and Android platforms, but the instagram for Windows Phone lacks one feature: Video Recording and Upload. Also, there’s one more lack in the Instagram for Windows Phone app, which is absence of a direct in-app camera for photo capture directly from the app. However, there’s a small party trick. Clicking on the pictures icon takes you to the camera roll. There however, you have a camera button, which activates the camera, and lets you shoot an image. after the image is shot, it selects the recently shot image and returns the same for editing on instagram for windows phone app.
The app has the metro looks, fits nicely tailored to the Windows Phone environment. Though tagged as Beta version, the app is a nice user experience giver. This app is a great move by Instagram team to the demanding and newly evolving platform of Windows Phone to target more users.
