In the recent times, the low end touch screen smartphones christened by the name of Nokia Asha by Nokia have really gained a nationwide popularity due to is compact size, availability of colors, features, and obviously, the reliability of being a Nokia. The attractive pricing factor and god marketing helped it gain a lot of customers. To add up to the existing lineup of the Nokia Asha smartphone series, namely the Nokia Asha 500, Asha 501, and Asha 502 by introducing the Nokia Asha 503 to the Indian market.

Nokia Asha 503 features

The Nokia Asha 503 runs on the Asha 1.2 platform, which is an upgrade from the Asha 1.1 platform that we find in the elder siblings, the Asha 500, 501 and 502. The Nokia Asha 503 sports a 3 inch QVGA display consisting of a 240×320 pixels screen resolution. The phone has a beautiful layered body design comprising of a clear transparent layer atop a trendy colored body. The phone also has the Corning Gorilla Glass 2 which makes the screen scratch resistant.

The Nokia Asha 503 has a 5 megapixel rear camera with an LED flash, something which gets a great attention from buyers around India. It is a dual sim version, provided with a dual standby feature. This latest Asha series smartphone is a 3G phone, hence is good for high speed internet usage. It comes with a 1200 mAh removable battery, which provides it a 20 days standby time and up to 12 hours of talk time (2G) and 4.5 hours of talk time (3G) with a music playback time of up to 35.8 hours.

The Nokia Asha 503 consists of 64 MB ram and expandable storage up to 32 GB. Other standard features include presence of Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, FM radio, pre-loaded social apps, etc.

Nokia Asha 503 hasn’t completely been loaded on dealer shelves across India, so there is a bit of uncertainty over the price which is expected to get over soon. However, the phone will be available in the price range of ₹6,200 – ₹7,000 for the fact that the phone is available online at Nokia’s online shop for ₹6683.
