It looks like Sony is on its way to launch its midrange smartphone, the Xperia C in the Indian market. The device is currently listed on snapdeal.com for Rs. 20,060, while it is available on Saholic for Rs. 20,490 and it is up for pre order on Flipkart in the same price. The Xperia C was officially unveiled this year at the Mobile Asia Expo.
Sony Xperia C is the first Sony smartphone based on a 1.2 GHz quad-core Media Tek MTK6589 processor. It runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, includes 1 GB of RAM & 4 GB of inbuilt storage. The storage can be expanded externally upto 32 GB via microSD card. It is a dual-SIM smartphone (GSM+GSM) with dual standby.
It has 5-inch TFT LCD qHD display, an 8 megapixel rear camera Exmor R sensor & 0.3 megapixel camera on the front. The rear camera is equipped with features like face detection & sweep panorama and is capable of shooting videos in full HD mode. The connectivity options include 3G (only on primary SIM), Wi-Fi, DLNA, Bluetooth & GPS.
Sony Xperia C comes with a 2330 mAh battery, which as per the company claims delivers upto 10 hours of talktime & upto 588 hours of standby time. Other features include motion gaming, FM radio with RDS, walkman app & screen mirroring. It comes in three colors black, white & purple.
